Some additional hints:

1) the fastest way to add new lines - calling one or more Add*** methods,

then calling FormatTail. FormatTail works very fast - it reformats only

newly added lines.

  Examples demonstrating something like logs/chats (all in Demos\Delphi\

  - Multidemo\, subdemo "Chat simulation"

  - Assorted\Emoticons\

  There is one more example -

because it does not use a fixed set of text styles - required styles are

created when they needed)

2) use DeleteParas to delete lines at the beginning efficiently (read the

help on this method carefully)
