Two Concerns

I think the Richview components are great! But I have two concerns with

Richview's display of text.

1) Lines are allowed to break at changes in character attributes. This

allows a superscript or subscript to be at the beginning of a line instead

of being attached to its root character at the end of the previous line.

This is not acceptable behavior.

2) When changing fonts, such as, from Times New Roman to Symbol (for one

character) and back to Times New Roman, the baselines are not lined up.

While it is readable, it is also very annoying. Such character alignments

are controlled by Windows graphics and can be set to baseline alignment with

a windows api call. When I tried this, it failed to solve the problem. Does

Richview set character positioning to upper left corner when it draws the

screen, overriding my previous call to set it to baseline? If so, it should

be changed to baseline rendering. I use baseline rendering in my code for

mathematical typesetting and it eliminates the annoying vertical shift in

characters caused by changing fonts.
