Look at the demo Demos\Delphi\Editors\Editor 1\, procedure

TForm1.mpdTableClick

It is executed when the "Table" menu pops up, and it enables/disables menu

items for table commands.


Or you can use RichViewActions (http://www.trichview.com/resources/actions/)

which will do all this work for you.
