Posted: 06/06/2005 21:00:13 I think the combination of "DeskTop Publishing" and "syntax highlighting" is not an easy task. Both have different needs, so the best would be to use different programs. In my application I needed both too, and I use both RVE and a separate syntax highlighter each as an MDI child. For syntax highlighting SynEdit is quiet good (just as good or bad as the build in Delphi Editor, with alle feautures like code completion, syntax suggestion etc.) If I had to start again, I would probably choos Scintilla as syntax highlighter, because it has one major advantage over SynEdit: code-folding. (Some guys are working on coding-folding for SynEdit, but I don't expect it before the end of the year). If you've ever used Scintilla, you can understand that RVE (although very beautiful) is something completly different.
