Protecting a part of a document?

I have just downloaded the demos to evaluate the trichview. Looks greate for

a start I must admit.

I need to create an RTF editor, that contains a set of sub-documents. That

is a document where the user can edit all of the document except some breaks

dividing the document. I have seen that trichview has the concept of breaks

and checkpoints. Is it possible to prevent the user from deleting these? Is

it possible to lock a part of a document?

Any hint, or suggestion on how to proceed will be greately appricated.

Meanwhile I promise to look into the documentation (really I do!).
