Out of memory error

We have a mail merge type application where we repeatedly load an RTF letter

template from a database into a RichViewEdit (appending to the rich view

edit each time) and then replace certain strings. This way we build up a

single document of maybe 150 pages (each page is fairly small - just a reminder

letter and there is a hard break in between each page). But even on my PC

with 768MB of memory we get an out-of memory error yet the app has only used

abuot 16 MB. I have resorted to doing a ClearUndo and a DeleteUnusedStyles

at each iteration but it still fails. On customer PCs with less memory (128

to 512MB RAM) they can do about 130 'letters' and then they get an out of

memory error.

What memory is this? What alternatives are there? When it works (most of

the time) it works well and has done so for a while.
