Yes, it's very possible.

Caret is an applicationwide resource, there is only one caret in the

application, and it's shown in the focused window.

It's very easy to move caret in another window.

Here is a WinAPI function for assigning the caret position:

BOOL SetCaretPos(int X, int Y);

You can see - it does not contain a reference to window, it moves the caret

in the focused window. So, if editor uses it inaccurately, it can move caret

in foreign window easily.
