Text of some style (character formatting) is one item in the document. Applying new style (with ApplyStyleConversion) may change a number of items. Turning such markers on/off is more serious problem. For example, you can change properties of corresponding text styles (colored background/transparent background) > The project, I'm currently working on, should have an ability to mark > text with some color. Just like, for example, in MsWord - you can change > the color (or background color) of the selected text.
