There is a big difference here between Word and RV.

Word is a printer-oriented application, it just cannot work without

printers. So, if no printer installed, it uses some default settings for

imaginary printer.

As for RV, it is currently screen-oriented. Printing is an optional feature,

chosen printer does not affect working in editor and viewer. So, I think,

preview in this situation does not have sence.
