You need to write this function yourself.

Caret position:

rve.TopLevelEditor.CurIremNo, rve.TopLevelEditor.OffsetInCurItem.

You'll need functions

rve.TopLevelEditor.GetItemTextA and rve.TopLevelEditor.GetItemStyle
