Hi,

This is by design. rvpDeleteProtect blocks all editing operations that

delete item. So at least one character cannot be deleted.

Empty text items must not occur in the middle of paragraphs. They are

allowed only as empty paragraphs.

It's in to-do list to add an option to allow some text items be empty (and

be displayed somehow specially in this case), but now it's not possible.
