After replacing the selected paragraph with an empty string (resulting empty

paragraph), call the following code:

SendMessage(RichViewEdit1.Handle, WM_KEYDOWN, VK_DELETE,0);

It simulates pressing DELETE key, thus deletes this empty paragraph.
