Deleting an item safely

Hi there,

I'm using TRichViewEdit, and I need to delete a text item. Searching the

Help, the only method I can find is DeleteItems, which is apparently

dangerous:

"This is a viewer-style method.

Be careful - this method can produce invalid document."

How can I delete an item safely? Is there a way to ensure that

DeleteItems doesn't produce an invalid document?
