If you use Delphi 5, you need to write additional code in the initialization

section:

initialization

  TPicture.RegisterFileFormat('gif', 'Gif Image in RV', TGifImage);

  RV_CreateGraphics := MyCreateGraphics;

  RV_AfterImportGraphic := MyAfterImportGraphic;

  RegisterClass(TGifImage);

end.
